Install it like a grown-up
Out of the box: clean a steel roof, set the magnet and suction assist, run the cigar plug, hit on/off. Pattern button cycles the 29 patterns. Three quick presses jumps back to pattern 1.
When you make it permanent, the four-wire cable is already there: red to fused +VDC, black to chassis ground, white for low power, yellow for pattern select and sync. Tie yellow wires together across units and set them to the same pattern if you want them talking.
One rule, no hedging: a magnetically mounted warning device on the outside of a vehicle in motion is not recommended and is the user’s responsibility. Recon is built for temporary and quick-install work on a suitable steel surface. If the truck is going down the road at response speed on a permanent basis, plan the hardwire and a mount that belongs there.
Do not stare into the LEDs. They are there so other people see you.
