MiniBrow Packs the FireTech Brow Into a Tighter Package

MiniBrow Packs the FireTech Brow Into a Tighter Package

MiniBrow takes FireTech brow-light construction and puts it anywhere on the apparatus. Single stack, double stack, or recessed, pick the optic and the mount for the surface.

This is Post 4 in FireTech's brow light series.

MiniBrow is how FireTech takes the cab-brow construction and puts it everywhere a multi-circuit 72-inch fixture would be the wrong tool. Same extrusion idea. Same lifetime warranty. One circuit. A length for almost any panel.

The MiniBrow series uses the same core extrusion technology as the FireTech Brow Light, then strips the problem down to a single-circuit fixture you can put almost anywhere: cab sides, body sides, rear, ambulance, even a recessed pocket. Same aluminum thinking. Same lifetime warranty. Different job.

The three shapes

Single stack is the slim bar. One row of LEDs. Lower profile, lower draw, easier to tuck into a line that can't take a thick housing. Lengths from a short 6-LED section up through 33-LED and beyond. That's the default when you want FireTech output without giving up the real estate of a double row.

Double stack is two rows in the same family of extrusion. More lumens in a footprint that's still a bar, not a box light. When the surface can take the extra height and the scene needs the punch, rear of the body, a long stretch of side panel, that's the upgrade that doesn't throw you into a different product language.

Recessed is the double-stack idea dropped into the body instead of sitting on it. The current catalog fixture is the Recessed 36 LED Double Stack MiniBrow, about 19,008 raw lumens in a 24.53" × 4.72" × 7.28" package. It stays adjustable after install. Use it when a surface bar would snag, look wrong, or violate the body designer’s lines.

Optics: stop ordering the same lens for every side of the truck

MiniBrow optics are a spec decision, not a paint color.

  • Spot — tight, long throw. Use sparingly, and usually toward the front of the apparatus where you still care about distance.
  • Flood — wide coverage. The right default around the rear of the apparatus.
  • Combination — about one-third spot, two-thirds flood. The usual choice toward the front of the body, where you want a wash *and* a chance at reading an address.

We says this plainly on the recessed product page: flood toward the rear, combination toward the front. That advice travels. A truck with combination bars on every corner isn't “fully spec'd.” It's lazy.

White or black housings on all three shapes. Match the cab and body, or match the warning package. Don't mix finishes on the same side of the truck unless you like explaining it at the whiteboard.

Single stack: what you're actually buying

Shorter 3-LED sections and longer special builds exist in the broader MiniBrow literature. If the length you need isn't on the web table, that's a conversation with FireTech, not a dead end.

Mounting on single stack is the same vocabulary as the classic brow: cab bracket on a 3" radius, pedestal on flat, L-foot on vertical, J-foot under an OMEN bar, plus trunnion-end versions on selected lengths when the aim range matters. Once the feet are down, vertical aim is still in play.

Double stack  (when one row is not enough)

Double stack keeps the MiniBrow rules and adds a second row of LEDs. Draw and output scale with that.

The 90-LED is a special-build item (MOQ or short-run surcharge). Don't drop it into a bid like it ships off the shelf next week.

Trunnion and pedestal covers most installs. Recessed double stack is the exception that gets its own page.

Recessed 36 LED: body-integrated output

The recessed 36 LED double stack is the MiniBrow you specify when the alternative is cutting a hole for a different brand’s box or leaving that side of the truck dark.

  • FT-MB-2.18-REC-FT-\* — combination
  • FT-MB-2.18-REC-F-\* — flood
  • 19,008 raw lumens, 15A max at 12.8V, 180W peak
  • 9–32V DC, IP68/69K, 21 GRMS
  • 24.53" × 4.72" × 7.28"
  • White or black
  • Adjustable after it is in the pocket

That last line is the one body builders skip. A recessed light that can't be aimed is a recessed guess. This one isn't.

Building a coherent truck

A clean FireTech package looks like this:

  • Cab leading edge: classic Brow Light or BG2
  • Cab / body sides and rear: MiniBrow, optic chosen by location
  • Tight or styled bodywork: recessed 36 LED where a surface bar would lose
  • Warning package: OMEN above, J-foot brow or MiniBrow below if you want one hole pattern instead of two

Don't mix random lengths on the same visual line. Don't put spot optics on the rear just because the part number was in stock. And don't treat MiniBrow as a cheaper brow light for the front of the cab, it's a single-circuit tool. The front of the cab is where split circuits and (on BG2) system logic earn their keep.

Shop the family

That's the full brow-light story on FireTech: a cab fixture that invented the category, a modular system that made it smart, and a MiniBrow family that takes the same construction everywhere else on the apparatus.
